1. Search Piedmont Churches website search functionality (see Search in Main menu bar across top) allows potential members and visitors to search for churches that meet their criteria. It allows for users to explore churches from the comfort of their home. If a church avidly updates their content then there is a good chance the user will be interested and want to visit.
2. Free Web Sites Free means free. Piedmont Churches does not charge for a church to have a website or be placed in our directory. As a member of Piedmont Churches the church is given an admin login to their personal administration panel. This panel allows a church to add pages, post pictures and most importantly to add events to their church calendar. If you can type then you can maintain your church website; it is that easy! If a church currently maintains their own website then no problem. Just fill out the Add Church online form and we will create a link to your church website. Now you are listed in our directory and have a direct link to your site. If you have your own church calendar on your website, we still do encourage you to use the community calendar to post special events so others can see them and come.
3. Community Calendar Have you ever talked to a church member from another church only to find out they had a social or singing but you did not know about it and as a result missed the event? Piedmont Churches has created a community calendar to showcase special events happening at your church. Each church is set-up with a church calendar and events can be added simply. On the calendar there is one checkbox that asks if you want to make the event public. Click it and it will now display on the community calendar (See Main Calendar on left navigation pane).
4. Job Search Functionality Piedmont Churches has created an internal job search engine allowing access to unemployed church members. This is an anonymous means for unemployed or financially troubled church members and their families to utilize the church network for a means of making income. Our approach allows a member to keep their pride intact, help out a person needing work done and creating the ability for them to make a supplemental income. The access is controlled by the church administrators and the members of the church posting jobs.
5. Featured Charities In Rowan County alone there are numerous charities that help individuals in need but are not known to those that need it. Too many times a person or family in need does not know about the services a charity offers until it is too late. This site will constantly be adding charity information for free to any viable charity. We will also grant admin access to a charity to modify or change their page content as needed. If they can type they can update our site and keep information dynamic.
6. Advertising Piedmont Churches funds this site through personal donations and by selling advertising space. We believe businesses and families support our churches and in turn churches will support our businesses. As such we are offering a FREE text ad for any business that wishes to be listed on this site. We will also add them to the Sponsors directory link. See our advertising page for more detail.
7. Informational BLOGS Our purpose is to share information with the church community regardless of denomination. We support family values, the teaching of the Bible and all things before Him. We are open to opinions and encourage those that would like to articulate their verbal prowess to contact us to be a featured BLOG writer.
